Joanne B. Lannon,
M.ED., DLM (ASCP)

Founder and President

Joanne Lannon, President and Founder of South Shore Laboratory Consultants (SSLC), has over 25 years of experience in laboratory medicine, and has provided consulting services to many types of clinical laboratories since 1988.

As one of the first laboratory consultants in the state of Massachusetts, she has used her vast experience to maintain an exceptional reputation within the industry. Joanne is always highly recommended by professionals in her field.

She has a Masters Degree in Education and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Diplomate in Laboratory Management.

Elizabeth Mullady,
MLS(ASCP)CM, MHA

Director of Quality Assurance

Elizabeth Mullady is an ASCP Board registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration. She has 15 years of experience in clinical laboratories, first as a technologist in the Infection Disease Diagnostic lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and then in the quality assurance and regulatory affairs field for a molecular genetics lab. Liz has held the role of Senior Regulatory Consultant with SSLC for the past 5 years.

In 2022 Liz was promoted to Director of Quality Assurance for SSLC. She is responsible for monitoring client progress and compliance.

Amy Marciniak, MS

Senior Regulatory Consultant

Amy Marciniak joins SSLC after 13 years working for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH).  In her time working for the state, Amy’s roles have included Medical Laboratory Technologist, Hematology Supervisor and Laboratory Information System Administer, and Director of Clinical Laboratory and Pathology at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital before advancing in her career at the Division of Healthcare Facility Licensure and Certification.

As a Clinical Laboratory Surveyor for the Clinical Laboratory Program of the Division of Health Care Facility Licensure and Certification, Amy was responsible for inspecting laboratories to determine compliance with state laboratory regulations and federal CLIA regulations on behalf of The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).  In 2020, she was recognized and honored with the Performance Recognition Citation from the DPH Commissioner for her work during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Suffolk University and her Master’s Degree in Health and Medical Informatics at Brandeis University.

Kate Lannon, RN, BSN, CCRN

Nurse Regulatory Consultant

Kate Lannon is a board registered RN with a BS in Nursing from Villanova University and is certified as a CCRN. Kate has more than 15 years of nursing experience working as a cardiac critical care nurse and as a nurse in the electrophysiology lab at an academic medial center in Boston. In addition, Kate works per diem at a medical research institute documenting adverse events for clinical trials.

At SSLC, Kate is our Nurse Regulatory Consultant and assists the SSLC team with point of care (POC) test auditing.

 
 

Kathleen R. Oates, MT (ASCP) MPH

Regulatory Advisor

Kathy Oates holds the role of Regulatory Advisor for South Shore Laboratory Consultants (SSLC). She has worked for SSLC since 1993 and has been a huge part of their success and growth.

Her past employment includes Supervisor of the Clinical Laboratory Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and 30 years as Director of Quality Assurance for SSLC.

Kathy is highly respected by her peers and well known by professionals throughout the industry. She is a Medical Technologist certified by the American Board of Clinical Pathologists and holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University.
